One favorite word for students is homework! No… we are only kidding, students hate homework diligently and could do without this dreadful nightmare that haunts them during their holiday seasons and over the weekends and is the root cause of their worries. But why, has homework always been this disliked by students? Why do students still talk smack about the first person who gave homework, the unsuspecting Italian Roberto Nevillis who simply wanted to prepare his apprentices capable of mustering the work.
But whatever may be the reason homework does allow students to think creatively. Well, many of you may be thinking – “no it doesn’t”, when we refer to creative thinking, it is about the various excuses they come up with to avoid homework, rather than get over with it. But keeping all the funny jokes aside, skipping homework and avoiding learning can actually mortgage the students’ futures. Then how to solve this problem? We need to understand what is fundamentally wrong with homework that makes students hate it this bad.

Writing is too hard and grammar is not my strong suit!
Many students have this common complain where they try to get everything right at the first draft of their assignment and hence, think too much about it which actually makes them shut down. So, when they actually sit to write they block up and eventually give up. But students must realize that every task that involves brain development takes effort and time.
Moreover, writing mostly involves writing and rewriting and rewriting the same bunch of ideas over and over again. But let us think about our favorite texts, do our favorite text books have a similar format of writing? What about the devout religious texts, do they reiterate one idea throughout 500 pages?! The answer is a big fat no. that is why when it comes to traditional academic writing students give up and stop trying to finish the task at all. This repetitive task is exasperating and while many may actually find the task interesting, the time consuming nature of typical academic assignments makes it frustrating for most students more than any other subject or task.
Areas of interest are taking a hit:
Often it so happens that due to excessive homework, the areas of interest of kids are taking a hit that they perceive as fun tasks. After all kids want to do is play or browse through social media and when they cannot do such things and have to write their assignments instead, it is natural to hate the work.
At the end of the day, true motivation is necessary for inspiring students to do anything, so, the whole idea of traditional assignments must be rethought.
And while that takes shape you can keep your sanity with you by ordering custom essay papers from us!
